Meet Our Staff

Eugene Sisco

Eugene Sisco Jr. is one of five children born in the heart of Appalachia to parents who failed to complete the 8th grade. Eugene was born with an eye disease that left him legally blind and unable to read the printed word at the age of 7. Because of the early hardships placed on Eugene he developed a particular set of skills that has served him well in his personal and professional life.

Eugene received a BA degree in Psychology, Political Science and Education. After earning his BA he began working in a community mental health facility. While at the mental health facility, Eugene worked with a variety of individuals suffering from Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Family Adjustment Disorders, and as well as Substance Abuse and Addiction. In his work with addicted individuals, Eugene decided he would focus his attention of that population.

He went on to earn a MA in Community and School Counseling. Then in 1997, Eugene decided to fulfill a life goal and attend law School. In 2000, Eugene earned his Doctorate of law and began to practice law in Kentucky and West Virginia. Eugene decided to work closely with individuals who had become involved in the legal system because of an underlying Substance Use issue. It was at this time he opened a clinic that focused on the treatment of individuals seeking recovery from Substance Abuse and Addiction. For the past 13 years his clinic has grown and expanded to include Medically Assisted Treatment for patients requiring medications as they recovery from opiate addiction.

Mr. Sisco continues to find ways to better serve individuals recovering from Substance Abuse and Addiction issues. He developed a not for profit organization, ASAAP Plus Inc. which searches funding opportunities to raise funds to serve his clients. ASAP Plus has developed an Online Counseling Service to provide easier access to patients recovering from Substance Abuse and Addiction. ASAP Plus and ASAP Recovery has expanded their online services to include assistance to individuals recovering from Gambling Addiction as well as Substance Abuse and Addiction issues.

Eugene loves what he does and is excited to be able to participate in this growing service. It is his goal to provide reliable competent and affordable counseling services to individuals who, because of financial, ravel and other social-economic reasons, may not otherwise get the assistance they need.

He can't wait to meet and work with you and become part of your treatment team.
